Tanager Cove is located off the beaten path to Claytor Lake. It is located approximately 5 miles down Wilderness Rd off I-81 exit 101. The ride out there is peaceful and transports you into the lush countryside of the New River Valley. As you come up on the sign for Tanager Cove the first thing you see are the green rolling hills and beautiful blue mountains in the distance. There are a variety of lots available from private and wooded to lake front lots each offering something special to its owners, all just a short golf cart ride from the water’s edge. Once completed this community will be the talk of the NRV! 

Areas that can be used by the entire community and their guests include a sandy beach area, a 40' x 20' pavilion, keystone firepits with grills, common area green spaces, and a paved lakeside golf cart trail.

Dock structures will built for the use of the owners and guests. Electricity for these structures will be provided by the HOA.

Each lot comes complete with two boat slips with lifts for each lot. Maintenance on boat lifts are paid by the lot owner.

Dues are $500 per year and pays for the maintenance of common spaces, and snow removal of Tanager Lane.

Air BnB or short term rental use minimum term of one month.

Each home will be built in a craftman or coastal style and must have a minimum of 2,500 finished square footage with a 2 car garage.

Approved exterior materials include shingles, hardiplank or hardiboard, mixture of rock and hardiboard columns.

Approved roofing materials include synthetic, wood, tile, asphalt, slate, ceramic, or shingles (only light color mixture with shingles)

Brick, stone, or wood front steps.

Concrete or paver driveways.

No modular homes, vinyl siding, or fencing.
